Dr. Karson S. Putt is the Managing Director of the Institute for Drug Discovery at Purdue University. Dr. Putt has experience in both academic and industrial drug discovery/development. He has published over 30 scientific articles and has over several dozen US patents/patents pending. He founded his first company at 16 years of age and has translated several drugs into human clinical trials. Dr. Putt received his B.S. in Biology and A.S. in Chemistry from Purdue University and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UIUC.

Dr. Francesco M. Turrini is a Professor and the Scientific Director of the Proteomics facility at the University of Turin. Dr. Turrini has spent decades studying the regulation of erythrocytes and developing new treatments for blood-borne pathogens. He has overseen clinical trials in multiple countries and has published over 100 scientific articles. Dr. Turrini received his M.D. in Medicine and Surgery.
